A firmware issue has been identified that relates to a small number of Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 hard drive models which may result in data becoming inaccessible after a power-off/on operation. The affected products are Barracuda 7200.11. Seagate is offering a free firmware upgrade. Please see below for instructions. Use the following tools and instructions to determine if you have one of the related products. If your drive is listed, you may update the firmware on the disk drive to prevent any inconvenience. Please be also aware that there is some risk of drive failure while updating the Firmware. Follow these steps to determine if a firmware update is indicated at all for your drive: Please select the type of product:

STORAGEBIRD External USB Drives 1. Please verify your STORAGEBIRD external USB drive Seagate model number and serial number using the USB Drive List software. 2. If you have one of these models go to Step 3.
